Nidah 17

***************GIRSA SECTION********************
We recommend using the textual changes suggested by the Bach, Rav B. Rensburg and the parenthetical marginal notes of the Vilna Shas. This section is devoted to any *OTHER* changes that we feel ought to be made in Gemara, Rashi or Tosfos.)

[1] Rashi 17a DH she'Avar Aleihen ha'Lailah:
The words "u'Vatzal u'Mashkin"
should be "u'Vatzal *u'Veitzah* u'Mashkin"

[2] Mishnah 17b [line 2]:
Tosfos brings a Girsa of "Prozdud" in the entire Sugya;
this was also the Girsa of the Rambam (Frankel edition)

[3] Rashi 17b DH Sefeiko Tamei (#2):
(a) The words "Azil bi'Prozdor"
should maybe be "Azil *b'Gag* Prozdor"
(b) "mi'Tzad Achoreha" refers to the bottom of the Prozdor; "mi'Tzad
Paneha" refers to the roof of the Prozdor

[4] Rashi 17b DH Min ha'Lul vi'Lachutz :
The words "*Vadai Tahor*"
should be "*u'Vadai Tahor*"

*Klei Cheres* are earthenware vessels. They only become Tamei when Tum'ah enters them (even though it doesn't touch them). Afterwards, they make any food or drink that enters them Tamei, even if the object did not touch their inside surface.
