(a) The minimum Shiur of straw that one will need to carry out on Shabbos,
to be Chayav, is enough to fill the mouth of a cow; straw of legumes, to
fill the mouth of a camel; of stubble, enough to fill a lamb's mouth, and
grass, to fill the mouth of a kid-goat.
Why is the Shiur for straw a
cow's mouthful and not a camel's - which is larger? And by the same token,
why is the Shiur for stubble a lamb's mouthful, and not that of a kid,
which is smaller?
(b) Why did they determine the Shiur of straw of legumes to be the mouthful
of a camel, and not that of the smaller mouthful of a cow?
(c) Grass, on the other hand, is fit for a lamb no less than for a kid.
Why then, did Chazal fix the smaller Shiur of a kid's mouthful, and not a

Kigerogeres, and of dry ones, enough to fill a kid-goat's mouth.
(b) Will someone who carries out one half-Shiur of one kind and one

of straw, to feed a camel, he will be Patur.
Why does the Gemara reject

Lakish will agree that he is Chayav.

dispute, and what are their respective reasons?

of a Kigerogeres?
